By Amit,

Two years ago Haggai’s house was broken into. A burglar got into the house through a window in the light of day. Haggai was frustrated since not only his computer was missing, but it seems that the smallest alarm sound could have prevent it (below you can see the real photo from his apartment)

After losing his computer and sense of security, he still had quite a lot of optimism that the police will help him and try to catch the burglar.
The optimism didn’t last long as apparently the police clear only 13% of all reported burglaries due to lack of evidence.
Hope was the only thing he had left, since he was sure at least now he knows how to restore his sense of security, he just needs to get a good home security alarm that will prevent or at least record the next crime so the police will have a way to solve it.  Haggai did find some home security solutions on eBay. The good security systems were of course too expensive for him as he was a poor student at the time, and there went hope as well.   While he assessed the damages he notice that the burglar did chose not to take something from the apartment: 4 old smartphones that were in a drawer.
All 4 phones had cameras and most important, three of them were fully functional, and at that moment Haggai understood something bigger than the fact that he can turn those smartphones into a home security camera, he understood that people don’t value their old smartphones.

Salient Eye is the first app that is built to reuse your old unused phone – its a perfect solution for home security in the cost of your old smartphone.
